The ideas were good; my output was not . At my art course today.
Overnight, I had caught up on some sleep, thank goodness. Mostly between 21.00 and the early hours. But that was a good solid block of it. I whiled away a spell of unwelcome wakeful time and then drifted off again.
The morning brought extreme cold and frost. I needed to defrost the cat, or even the car, which was making me late to get H out, before I set off to Newbury for my drawing workshop. So while the car worked away at defrosting itself, I took H for a short walk up the road. Fortunately, she did all she needed to do during the ‘walk’ which was more like 500m than the 4km that was recorded. I will have to make it up to her tomorrow.
The cross country drive to Newbury was in a rather beautiful monotonous series of whites and shades of charcoal as the fields were laid out in the distance, demarcated by the greys of the boundaries and vegetation.
The art workshop was more about developing imaginative approaches to drawing than developing drawing skills. I used the wrong media (we could choose from whatever we had brought with us) . I had taken chalk pastels and water colour to add colour which was a mistake. I needed oil pastels and acrylic paint. I will do better next week. I hope.
I shall not treat you to a screen shot of my rubbish efforts. But I may revisit the activity at home. In the hope of improving the outcome.
It’s now evening. Sleet is falling outside. I’m surprised it’s not snow and that it’s not settling. The ground is so cold. Now it’s just wet and the roads will be very dangerous come the morning.
There are horrendous fires around LA. Apparently they cannot be controlled. I believe Trump has blamed Biden.
Oh well… I eventually caught up with Traitors. Oh Linda – under that facade of intelligent sense that you project, is a scatter-brained follower incapable of useful thought. As opposed to a leader capable of plotting by design.
