A wakefulish night due to sleeping in the chair the previous evening. But still with an early wake up after I did eventually fall asleep.
During my wakeful moments, I watched ‘Until you kill me’ based on true events. I also watched the additional programme ‘Until you kill me, the real story,’ narrated by the real victim of the time. Very good acting by A MM – a good watch. Though A MM managed to make her character not entirely likeable, although to be sympathised with.
Once I was up, I took H for a stroll around Cholsey big meadow. It was a dull, grey day, with temperatures continuing slightly above normal. I was on a bit of a deadline.
I returned home to check the ingredients I had bought and prepped for lunch. I made a quick coleslaw to go with soup, bread and cheese and yet more of the famous salmon latex. Or maybe that should be pate.
Brenda arrived around 11.30 so we crafted for a bit, had a break for lunch and crafted more. The timetabling worked well and Brenda was productive. And we chatted.
Brenda wanted to be home before dark so left around 3.30 pm. However she is coming back next Monday, for more of the same, having enjoyed herself so much!!
I tidied up and put things back as they were before I reorganised the study. I then went in for a bit more relaxation and gave H some attention – she had remained tucked out of the way for Brenda’s visit. Heidi’s choice although she did give Brenda a warm greeting, with enthusiastic wagging of her tail.
There were more bangs outside this evening.
As for Burt’s perfidy, more light was shone on the shared alleyway use. They had a load of logs delivered today (sensible) – on the alleyway concrete, which, of course, having shot himself in the foot, over Sharon’s parked car, he had to move the logs today. He struggled to put all the logs into a little pull truck on and off all afternoon. I don’t know if Wendy helped stack them once they were in his garden. This is a man with Parkinson’s, COPD and goodness knows what else. (He often tries to tell me, but I rush inside) I fear he will suffer this evening.
That American election… Trump is scarily bonkers as are his followers …
Quite a good day really. But not much of use done.
