Not me…
I slept more comfortably now the stent has gone, but I was still awake somewhat earlier than I would have preferred.
But I went off for an early swim, earlier than usual. I arrived at the pool just after 07.00 and found my lane busier than I have ever seen it. There was a rash of people all over the slow lane, some of whom were not actually swimming. More gossiping. Not sure why they do it in a pool when they could sit around a table and be dry and still gossip. But, suddenly, most of the ‘swimmers’ exited and peace reigned.
I returned home to do a little art, before taking H out for a walk. I wanted to take her out immediately before I would leave for Hermitage where I was due to meet carer friends. This was in the hope she would not eat my knitting whilst I was out.
We visited the big field in Cholsey, and H had a good run around, which was exactly the point of being out there.
The day was pleasant with sunshine although it was very chilly when I set off for swimming.
It was a good meet up with my carer friends and I might even have had a naughty scone. We agreed not to meet in November due to a Christmas lunch arranged for early December.
Thought for the Day
World Atlas ( whoever they may be) published a list of the 10 most laid back towns in the UK. Towns like Rye and Ambleside. And also Henley, Marlow and Wallingford. The last three almost contiguous. Strange that …

Almost accurate too! But ‘quaint’ is how I describe Wallingford. But Five Little Pigs is not exactly a tea room. And they don’t allow dogs near that part of the castle.
Its ‘department’ store, Pettits’ is scattered over more than one site. That seems quaint.
And it has a beach!
