Busy

I was up at a decent time so I could go swimming. And that is what I did. In a beautifully quiet pool for the first 20 minutes, and then the snails escaped their bonds to cause chaos.
For the first time since the end of August, and intrusive stents, I clocked up 1000m.

And then it was off to Root one for the swimmers’ monthly brekkie. This was attended by some strange faces that I had never seen before, but the veggie brekkie was very welcome. And the company good.

Most of the roads leading to the swimming pool are being excavated and more chaos is promised for the next few weeks. Water works this time.

I arrived home, to a fulsome welcome from little H, who patiently waited whilst I reorganised the contents of the car so that the nice car wash man would be able to clean it. Inside and out.

Next up – autumn (spring) clean for the car. Which is now all shiny and sweet smelling. The nice man worked very hard for quite a long time to remove H’s fluff and other spurious debris. And why must I have the car cleaned today? Because I was going to transport P and F in it. And the interior had become a bit of an embarrassment. Skip on wheels best described it.

H managed to ignore the noisy high pressure washer and patiently waited for her walk which followed next. At Cholsey Meadows.

Following the gallop round the Meadows, H was dropped off chez moi, and I gathered up P and F to take them to the Snug at Dorchester where the alpacas are. So is a little cafe.
Oh Boy! Had the Snug changed? Just a lot! The drive to the front entrance is no longer. It has transformed into a turfed, lush, grass area complete with picnic tables and alpacas across the road. To park the car, you now drive round the back, amongst rubble and barriers – a sort of building site.

So mega works are going on as part of this rather fine, sustainable community project.
Peter was curious enough to want to inspect the hoardings containing all the information about the project.

I returned P and F to the Illis and myself home where H awaited.

Hair cut tomorrow but I’m more concerned about Wednesday – stent removal. If I can manage to park the car. Not looking forward to it but suppose I’ll just get on with it.

Thought for the Day

That is what my iPhone produced when I typed this:

I’m sick of it producing such consistent rubbish. It’s an idiot. Where does it get its nonsense from?
