I slept nicely and fully, awaking around 05.00. I actually had time to do my puzzles this morning. There was no hurry to arise because I was expecting lovely Loren, and her friend, new cleaner, Sharon.
They cleaned the Illis first, or Loren did , and I was sad that it was Loren’s last clean for me. Because there were two of them, the clean was quicker. As far as I can see, Sharon will be a good replacement. She is a local lady from the other side of the river and is friendly with the Sachses who used to own our house.
I had, in the meantime, contacted RBH Urology Department to chase up the date of my next procedure. I was told I was pencilled in for October 2nd, which I suppose will mean I may need a new pre op to be done. The date has yet to be confirmed. The excitement is overwhelming!
Alex texted to say that Fleur’s grade 8 in physics has been upgraded to a grade 9. The re-mark found 4 more marks, she only needed 1 more to achieve a 9.
She will be 17 tomorrow and we know what that means … driving!!
H and I walked at Castle Meadows because I needed to buy a few items from Waitrose. But the sun had come out and the temperature had shot up – too hot to leave a dog in the car. So I returned her home and performed other chores with a trip to Waitrose in mind for later.
Also, I noticed a build up of oppressive looking clouds and I really wanted to mow the grass, before any rain might fall. Well actually, I did not want to cut the grass, but needs must.
So the grass was mowed. It was a relief. And quite heavy work because it was quite lush in places. Let’s hope the stent was not affected. I also watered the plants which were quite desiccated. But I had a good crop of cherry tomatoes. I thought watering plants would ensure rain, but it didn’t, although storms are forecast for tomorrow and Saturday.
Texting with Eleanor told me she is going out to Grammeno with Terry in October. How I would love to be there with them. Another time…
I made that Waitrose trip in the latter part of the afternoon. And the fridge is better stocked .
I eventually got around to eating at about 17.30. Late for me. And watched some catch up TV before I fell asleep in the chair. And made it to bed around 21.00 where I quickly slept on.
