I slept really badly, fretting over this and that and Thursday. No point in it, I told myself but it did not help me sleep.
I tried really hard to relax and breathe deeply etc. No electronic stuff etc but to no avail.
As a result, I felt really tired when morning arrived. But I went swimming and still felt tired!
Once home, I had a little interval of time before Pen arrived. She took Minnie for a walk on Lardon Chase where she could catch up with T.
The day was breezy/ cloudy/ sunny. We shared a cuppa tea and had a chat before setting off for Stoke Row and the Crooked Billet. This was where I had booked a table for lunch.
Pen drove us there, reaching the pub by its back entrance which involved a very winding and narrow passageway along a back lane. Luckily, we met nothing. 🙂
But we did have the most amazingly slap up lunch. They had a special seafood menu which included the most delicious, most tender grilled octopus, and then I fell for the lobster. Well I’ve had it now! And boy, was it good. Next time I go, I will pick a more modest dish.

The flowers at the pub were wonderful including those on the external decorated piano whose photo has gone awol.
We returned home to H who was very pleased to see us and Pen took her for a little wander down by the river, whilst I recovered from the amazing lunch.
Not much else happened except Pen left around 17.00 and H and I passed the evening together and in peace.
Thought for the Day
