That has been our weather today – lovely/ warm and sunny. Although, at 06.30, when I hung the washing out, it was quite drizzly. But I still decided the washing was going out!
I had a very difficult night due to arriving home in the early hours. And getting to sleep very late. But after dealing with the washing, I fell asleep again until around 09.00. Unheard of!
I then spent a while inspecting and watering my plants. They are doing well. Thank you Illis for looking after them. The grass is almost knee high … I exaggerate a little. Needs must attack it.
I needed to take the car wine cellar and grocery cupboard round to Ali’s where there were slaves and donkeys to unload the shopping and share out the bounty, for me to take half to the Robert’s family next weekend.
I watched. The slaves worked. And I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee. And then it was time to buy a few groceries and some nitrogen to sort out the courgette plant with yellow leaves. But it might not need nitrogen because the courgettes are yellow courgettes and such plants sometimes have yellow leaves. Or so accolytes of Mr Google inform me.
Yellow courgette

My first green courgette . Nearly ready for picking. And eating. I like small ones raw in salads.
I sat down for a few minutes but felt an inconvenient doze beckoning me. So instead I went to watch wockey. There was a dual purpose in this. I had been informed that I had returned home wearing Dave’s size 11 clogs instead of my size 8 ones! I thought they felt a bit odd as I drove to Vicars. But I just put it down to not having worn them for a few days. Another Doh!
Wockey is walking hockey. Quite funny to watch especially the way people walk fast. Carrying a hockey stick. Some stick their chests out and bottoms in. There was a tournament and there was a winner but it all seemed a bit spurious. But fun too. I sat in the car and might even have had that doze.
I returned home to the chore of preparing my own meal. I’ve been spoilt by France. It will be an early night tonight.
