The weather was OK today but chilly out of the sun. And it did not rain. I was awake at the usual early hour and drinking my early cuppa.
After an embarrassingly disastrous puzzle day yesterday, today was better. And Eleanor treated me to some photographs from a family wedding yesterday- a happy event.
I dealt with the usual accumulation of unwanted emails and then H and I were ready to depart for our walk.
It was the silly season for the car park. Someone had parked outside the marked spaces , which made it difficult for someone else to extract their car. It would have helped if that second someone else had been a competent driver. But she was heavy on the clutch and her car was subject to a lot of manoeuvring. It would have helped her if the inconsiderate person had not been so selfish.
Anyway I was able to reverse neatly into the vacated space due to a rare incident of deft driving on my part.
H and I had a pleasant walk in Pangbourne Meadows, where people were busy setting up various bits and pieces for their fête tomorrow. Someone told me that winter flooding had extended all the way to the car park. That is massive. No wonder the love in-bench has disappeared. It probably floated away downstream and is now out at sea.
A bold paddle boarder- it was not that warm.

The hay has been hoovered up and removed. Patriotic flags flutter in the breeze.
Next it was time to meet up with Jane and Sue at the Butt Inn where a gossip and lunch followed. All very pleasant.
I handed Jane the transfer wheelchair I had bought for T. Her mother is in earlyish stages of dementia and is becoming increasingly frail. T did not use the wheelchair that much, but it was undoubtedly useful. I was glad to find it a good home where it might help someone else.
Then home for a chillax which did not happen.
I’m saving myself for the political shenanigans this evening. Sparks might fly.
Well… I might have found out if I had not fallen asleep for the duration.
Next week is looking unbearably busy…
Thought for D Day
