Today the weather seemed as weary as I was. The day appeared too tired to wake up at the start. Grey and sleepy. Damp and wet which was a bit half hearted. The sun never did get itself up. Pretty much how I felt really.
With some fixed determination, I managed to get myself out of bed and to Didcot for my swim. I managed the 1000m. No point in trying to swim in the afternoons, since it is half term week. Watch out – kids about.
I’m getting to know some of the regulars who swim around the same time in the morning. This includes one rather lovely lady, with a wry sense of humour, who is not enjoying her swims and finds them hard work.
i returned home, starving hungry, made brekkie and contemplated hibernation. Hibernation became reality as I hid from the day and fell into a deep doze.
I had slept badly during my last night in Leeds, no idea why because the first two nights were great. I think I was on a catch up.
I had a few chores to do and communication to deal with before taking H out. It was cold and blustery when we got ourselves out and down to Pangbourne. It seems as if the rest of the locals have also decided to hibernate. No one much was about. But H found time to paddle and sit on a bench and have a chat with me . In fact it took her a while to get herself off the bench. She stayed on it as I disappeared into the distance.

And so we returned home to some left overs that I had disguised with curry powder. Quite tasty really .
