Eventually, it became hot, now that can be quite uncomfortable if you fall asleep in the sun. It was shady when I eventually sat down. But not when I woke up.
Today started at the usual 05.00. I didn’t feel much like a swim but booked one for 08.00 but rolled up at 07.30. The pool was not busy this morning.
I had been invited to join this group of sometime swimmers who meet at Root One every 3rd Monday. They were a pleasant group – today there were about 8 people, one of whom was the trainer who had told me off last week. But we ignored that. Not everyone was there at the save time and not everyone still swims. Generally they are from Wallingford and around. Anne, who invited me, lives in Britwell cum Sotwell a couple of doors down from Boris’s manor house. she described him as a shambles when he visits the village shop which is staffed by volunteers. His trousers sometimes ride in the wrong direction when he bends over.
Talking of Boris – he was shopping in B and M in Didcot, and caught the eye of the Oxford Mail. We all know B and M is cheap and cheerful.
Anyway brekkie was very nice and the garden centre afforded more spending opportunities – this time geraniums. I came home and transplanted a few bits and pieces, but not everything is in its final resting place yet. There is always tomorrow.
H was clearly anxious for her walk, letting me know in no uncertain terms.

H and I went to Pangbourne. I could not believe that they still have not mowed the meadows. Last summer, every time I went there, the mower seemed to be out and about so I had to take steps to avoid it. Luckily, now, tracks are well trodden by walkers. They are no longer mushy and waterlogged.
It was very pleasant out there (apart from nearby noisy rooks) watching watercraft of all descriptions ply back and forth, as well as dogs and people. The renovated adjacent playground was being enjoyed by small people.

Unmown water meadows.
We came home to deal with the washing and various other chores, and that was when a snooze inadvertently took place. Tit tit. Or even tut tut.

Spot the red kite that was so busy yesterday. Sweet bird – unless you get in its way.
I couldn’t find H at bedtime, she was outside snoozing in the dark.
