What a lovely bright and warm day. There was a bit of an interruption to these delights mid-afternoon, but the day got itself backon track again.
I awoke around 06.00, long enough to do some flexing and then fall asleep again.
So I think it was nearly 08.00 when I actually properly awoke. Great sleep!
Debs was here at 10.00 for my toe treatment. Which was very soothing and we had a nice chat.
And then I had a choice as to whether to take Heidi out or to cut the grass. So, Heidi won.
But her victory led to another choice – do I walk her first or get my tyre checked first. The warning light had come on again yesterday – that is twice in two weeks. The tyre won. It is the same tyre as two weeks ago which is losing pressure, so it is booked in for further examination tomorrow. Nuisance or what?
I eventually took H out for her walk, a sunny walk, at Cholsey Meadows. In fact the grass would have been far too wet to cut at this point in the day, had I chosen that option.
We were not out that long because I had a lot to do.

Next choice : to mow the grass or go swimming. The grass won.
A clematis flower and a fat poppy bud

By now it was very warm, and although the grass was still quite damp, I had to practically run around with the mower due to time constraints, and a build up of soggy wet mulch got stuck underneath near the blade. That all needed clearing out. I worked up quite a sweat because it was so warm and I had speeded up.
But I made it!
And, finally, I got to go swimming. The pool was quite busy. We seem to be running into times when school children have either got inset days or are supposed to be revising for exams. Depending on their size. The size of the child that is. And so they decide to go swimming.
This will mean joining the early swimming group again, as I find youngsters having fun can be rather irksome. They get in the way and disturb my rhythm. I’m such an old trout.
Back home, it was time for salad and prawns and some rather tempting nuts. Pistachios from my excellent Lidl supply.
