Deluge

A good night was passed. And I was able to get H out for a decent walk before departing for Hermitage to meet Carer friends. Hopefully when this tricky week is over I will be able to find the time to resume swimming.

After my return from walking H, I paid a quick trip to Lidl to purchase some of their god value plump prawns.

Following these excitements, I had a little chat with Eddie who lives over the road, and I learned his wife, Alison, died last Saturday. Another cancer case. Unlike T, she had really good care from Sue Ryder but our bad apple nurse was not involved. They had carers visit 3 times a day. But Alison was completely bedridden.
Perhaps you can hear me snort.

Our carers get together was as good as it ever gets. Great catch up with the four of us who were there. We were at Hilliers Garden Centre in Hermitage. And whilst sitting within, the Heavens opened and the noise of the rain on the roof was ear splittingly deafening.

I eventually made it back to the car without getting too soaked and thence back home. There were some hazardous flash floods on the way home and conditions were generally tricky.

Amazon had visited in my absence delivering gifts for the iPhone – new screen protectors and a shiny red new case. Both of these are now fitted, and with the sound working, I have saved myself a few £ for the time being.

I jazzed up the remaining bean stew with Thai massaman curry spice kit. It worked well. I’ve mislaid the fresh raspberries I bought earlier.

And FYO xx my ima toes are germinating but are leggy… apparently this can be fixed with tomato seeds…YouTube reveals all. And my runners are also germinating. I only planted 4 bean seeds – I’ve only room for about 10 plants.

Tomorrow brings yet more demands, as does Saturday. Roll on this week.
