A reasonable night when I awoke around 05.00 and then dozed and re-dozed. And booked a swim . And I faced up to some ghastliness outside where the wind was restless and indiscriminately vindictive . And the rain only added to the misery.
The covers on the garden furniture were billowing dramatically.

I ignored it all and went for a swim. After yesterday’s unwelcome goggle experience, I dug out a pair of old, but new looking goggles from among some swimming gear, Speedo ones.
And from the very get go they did not leak and my underwater vision was sharp. And I ploughed up and down and completed my 1km.
I returned home and loitered a short while before taking H for a very short walk. The length of it being controlled by a rain shower and, the ever-present gusts.
I returned home again, this time via Waitrose, and managed to leave a few things on the shelves for other shoppers.
I am reminded that 4 years ago, toilet paper was in short supply as was bread, pasta, and tinned tomatoes.
By now, the wind had taken the cover off the garden furniture, so I tried to secure it better. But the sun was battling with the clouds.

Not much else of interest happened. I booked myself and H into Woodbury Hotel and Spa for Penny’s birthday weekend at the end of June. There is a swimming pool there, but then the weather might be nice enough to use the Roberts’ own pool. Exciting thoughts.
The celebrations will be at the Pig. The Honiton Pig. Just love it there.
I ordered up Bravecto and worm tabs for H and organised a kennel cough jab.
And watched more of the Crown. Diana times, depressing episodes.
I also caught up with Design Masters. No spoilers except it was a relief to see the eliminated person be eliminated.
