I slept very nicely thank you very much, first of all in the chair and then in bed. I am told by my watch that I slept for 7 hours, even if I was awake around 04.00. I resisted the urge for a hot drink until 05.00.
I enjoyed another bit of a lie in before taking H back to the Millennium Wood in East Hagbourne.
It was still foggy, and , a week after our last visit, the ground is still extremely slippery.

She is having a laugh!
Paddocks and horsey playthings

We returned via the Cook shop at the Orchard retail park, where I purchased a handful of dishes, calculated to keep cooking at arm’s length.
We returned home and I immediately booked my swim at Didcot Wave for 13.30. The pool was busy- there were about 10 adults in the water, (!) which is about 9 more than yesterday. And a couple of babies in the kiddies area. I ploughed up and down for the 1km and retreated into my towelling dry robe and drove home. In the dull grey that was the atmosphere of the day.
After my shower, I ate some food and battled to stay awake. I made sure I had several alarms set, which was just as well because I needed them all. I had only enjoyed a short doze anyway.
So next I was off to the B and W for a Moulsford Ladies’ night out. It was well attended with about 30 ladies present. Some of whom I have never seen before. But I enjoyed it and it gave me a chance to meet new people and deepen acquaintances with faces I knew.

T would have been interested because I met the lady who lives the other side of ‘the wall’. This is a very old flint wall that he particularly liked that runs down Ferry Lane to the B and W. It has an ancient and intriguing door buried within it. The other side of the wall harbours Moulsford Manor. Indie, the name of the lady, explained they had had the wall professionally cleaned when they moved in. I don’t think they are short of money.
I also learnt that a neighbour opposite is very ill with cancer. I hope Clare is not assigned to her.
