Car Park

I found one.

I had a really good night once I shifted myself from my chair sleep to my bed sleep. So annoying to fall asleep in the chair!

If I’m lucky, I will have already put my bedtime kit on – (nightie) so I only have to put H out and wait while she decides whether or where she will water the grass. I have to do the same for myself except not on the grass. I then have to top up my water, take tablets; stick Sudafed spray up my nose, brush my teeth, turn the lights off; look at any mess in the kitchen and decide to clear it in the morning.

By then, I’m quite wide awake again. But last night I drifted back to sleep quite quickly.

And finally awoke around 06.00 to book swimming for just after 08.00. It wasn’t ideal because I could see there were fewer free spaces. And this was born out by all the people in the water.

It was a dull start to the day, with a few hints that the sun was out there and quite a lot of wind. I still felt damp in the air.

After a little relaxation and a little research back at the ranch, H and I set off for Wokefield Common which seems to be attached to Burghfield Common and it is where there is a car park. Yippee. It’s big enough, as long as no more than 10 people want to park there. It offers a useful network of paths and habitats and H really seemed to enjoy it. Plenty to tempt her.

There was even some mud – not a lot thank goodness.

And something very special to roll in. Repeatedly.

I was a bit nervous we might mislay ourselves and we might never see the car again.

I had the last of the parsnip soup for lunch – thank goodness. It tasted good and I gave it a different character each day, of the three days it lasted, by adding alternative ingredients, but I’ve really had enough of it now.

Yesterday’s effort.

I sat down and managed not to fall asleep during the afternoon or during the evening, until I was in bed.

At around 16.00, I went off to the Illis for an hour to see those who were at home. This may become a regular feature if a Tuesday- a regular bit of socialising, unless one party has something going on. Next week is half tetm so it won’t happen. And the following week, I am meeting Carer friends, but will be back before 16,00.

Dave made a great cup of coffee, F ate frozen raspberries and G talked about goal keeping. In hockey.
Dave also printed out an enrolment form for 3 art workshops – watercolour master classes ( no laughing) led by a local artist in Ipsden. The first is on skies in a week or so. There are two more – in March and April- one on rivers and one on trees.
I know very little about watercolours, so I am quite excited. Unfortunately they fall on a Saturday which is not so great.
I really need some regular ongoing classes but the timetables were not working for me.

I managed to stay awake all evening, catching up on Silent Witness. Well most of it, the bit I watched back in bed needs another look.

Thought for the Day
