Today was to be a resting day with nothing in particular taking place. The sun of the last few days had disappeared, replaced by familiar grey skies. At least it was not raining.
Pen took H out for a longish walk whilst I lingered behind in case the Ch engineer turned up. He didn’t but he will appear tomorrow.
We went out for a walk at Budleigh Salterton where they have carried out all these wonderful environmental works which involved flooding the estuary. Great care has been taken to preserve the wetlands for birds and other creatures. New footpaths have been created and bird hides carefully positioned. And it was not muddy! Well, not in the path. The salt marshes were rich with mud.

To warm up, we visited the furniture shop/ cafe where they made our sofas. Dogs are not allowed inside – pre Covid that was the case. It is good that they are serving food and drinks again. And allow dogs inside.

I’ve been in trouble for dozing off in the chair. I almost made it last night without a doze, but not quite. Never mind, home on Friday, where my bad habits can return. It’s been a lovely few days here and I have been really well looked after. So has H. Thank you Roberts family.
