Manic Morning

I woke up on the sofa but without blocks of ice in the place of my feet. It is good to have working underfloor heating.

Having slept some of the night on the sofa, I performed my ward rounds and finished off the night in bed. It was undisturbed by coughing.
T was awake quite early and was compliant. This suited me because he willingly showered after me, and even soaped up after I handed him a loaded sponge and reminded him about his important parts.

This morning was quite manic. So it helped tremendously that T was up and dressed before I left for my hair appointment at 09.00. He relaxed in the bed and I departed.

I just had time to pop into Goring Grocer on my way to Albert Fields, just to see if they had any spare delicacies that needed a buyer. And I picked up more home made granola. And humus.

Ashleigh was running a bit late, which threw me slightly, but I was still on my way home to pick up T soon after 10.30. I grabbed my SW log book and T was up on his feet so I swept him away to Daycare. I had warned them he would be a bit late.

I even made it to SW for 11.00 by parking in Kynecroft. I hung around for the spiele for a short while, but it was mostly about how to avoid the calories involved in drinking alcohol, so not terribly useful or relevant to me.
And I was conscious that little H had been a bit overlooked in my anxious scrambling to meet all the deadlines.

As I sneaked out, I was summoned back. Only 1/2 kg list this week, but the rest of the month was good enough for me to be slimmer of the month. (For the second time and I’ve only been doing it for 2 months)

H and I took ourselves to Pangbourne where it was chilly, but dry. But not very dry underfoot. The great playground excavations are now at the resurfacing stage and the hard working labourers are gluing down some sort of rubbery surface comprising of black bits connected by an adhesive.

One sniff almost sent me to join the red kites wheeling above.

I had soup for lunch and then it was time to pick up T. He seems to have had a good day.

A little relaxation followed and I heard a few snores.

The house and garden clearance people are still working on the house two doors away which is apparently in a disgusting state. Not only are both the house and garden full of junk but, apparently, there is a heavy nicotine surface on all the walls which will take some removing. Ugh!

The evening passed in the same way they usually do – I cook supper and T doesn’t eat it. He says he will eat it for brekkie the next day. But that never happens either.

Thought for the Day
