Penny Day 2

What a lovely deep sleep I had! I awoke quite early and did some waggling and then I went back to sleep again. But not for long.
I was disturbed by a phone call at 08.30. It was Pen telling me she was on her way over from the Illis, and was bringing Minnie for a sleep over. And a walk.
T stayed in bed after some brekkie nibbles and Pen and I set off with both dogs to walk by the Clumps.
It was a beautiful morning with bright sunshine and glorious views. I couldn’t set it as a walkout due to leaving left my watch behind. Doh!

Pen and Minnie are distant figures.

Pen took Minnie on a bit further ( I kept H because of her unreliability). We didn’t want to find H had skived off into a woodland thicket somewhere. Though she did try it on once I released her as we were all reunited.

In the meantime, I had clambered up one of the clumps and sat down with H admiring the views. A certain black dog appeared streaming round the far clump. H was aware and squinted into the distance.
Minnie realised her human companion was missing and turned back to find her. By now Pen had decided that Minnie had abandoned her. All was well in the end and we returned United.

We returned home as the morning was drawing on and Penny was due to depart at midday. Which she did.

We made T some finger snacks and left him to it to have yet more rest.

Debs arrived at 2.00pm whereupon T told me he wouldn’t bother today thank you very much. But i informed him that he would be bothering to allow Debs to deal with his toes and feet. One up, he was quite sociable though it’s clear that he doesn’t really know what is going on around him. I then had the luxury of the same treatment whilst Y retired back to bed.
The headaches are bothering him and he is finding it more and more difficult to stay out of bed.

Around 5.15 I set off to pick up George to take him to hockey . The roadworks are only active from 09.30 to 15.30. I have discovered that they are not the responsibility of the Gas people this time, but of the road surfacing people. The road has no surface any more and is rough and unready. And in the dark, quite hazardous.
I was a bit late for George due to a long queue at Streatley lights. The cause was unclear.

When I was home, I dug T out of bed for long enough to watch C4 News and some of Bake Off. He returned to bed and I fell asleep on the sofa. I’ll be glad when they service the boiler and fix the heating next week. Luckily, the

The bedroom gets toasty warm from the radiators and the sun.
It has been quite a pleasant day. Tomorrow morning is very busy.
