A better day

If yesterday was difficult, today has been much easier/ more normal. No coughing to speak of and no significant wheezing. T has also eaten quite well and without demur. He has serenaded the ceiling, telling it how beautiful it is… “Oh what a beautiful ceiling…”

The night also passed quite peacefully which was also a relief. Today, I decided he was better left in bed and that I could leave him on his own.
So H and I wandered to the Love in Log at Pangbourne. The meadows were quite quiet today and H did all the usual – she crapped, rolled, paddled, sniffed and played kiss chase. Not with me, the latter. But she showed great affection on love in log, but that might have had something to do with my pocket full of treats.

Boats passed serenely by. I followed the antics of a local heron, hiding in the bushes; ( the heron not me) the cormorant was back up its tree drying out, and the swan pair were without their cygnets. Though I did see some up river later on.
I called in at Cobbs farm for some sandwich ingredients. T ate his ham roll obediently and has not done badly food wise today.
I may have had a snooze this afternoon after my own roll.

I have a doctor phone appointment in the morning for T. He excelled himself today by eating some sphagetti carbonara this evening, followed by biscuits with cheese.

Nothing much else happened apart from being annoyingly disturbed at 21.30 – I was in bed. T went to ‘deal’ with it, which meant I had to get up. Only to find some poor courrier looking for 14 the Village Street. This is a bit confusing because I happen to know it is the house on the corner of Underhill. The Village Street, or similar, is the main road through Moulsford.

Thought for the Day
