I had an awful up and downer of a night which ended up with me drifting off to sleep in the later, early hours. This meant I awoke just before 07.00, and had a bit of a scramble on my hands to get brekkie into T and off to Daycare. He was reasonably compliant. And it has been a fairly cough free day, so far.
I walked H near Cholsey Church. It was already hot and the ground was ankle breaking so we did not hang around.
From then on, the day was a mess. I was struggling to complete a Herbert Protocol form. I eventually found that I could type straight into the PDF but how to save it was a mystery. So, unless I can find it again, it remains as a lumpy, wonky collection of screenshots.
Next up was sorting out the zoom meeting. That was easy on the iPhone and reasonably easy on the iPad and Mac.
Of course, I got timed out and had to set it up all over again. which I did. But I could not find how to operate sound on the iPad or Mac, so the only sound was through my phone.
I had picked up T at 13.00 which was a waste of time because he did not really understand what was going on. I missed the introductions to the other couples because of the sound problem. One couple were excluded anyway before someone found out how to let them back in.
It’s a while since I have used Zoom which is no longer the old manageable friend it once was.
My recent experience with Teams was much more satisfactory. That was for my Speeding Awareness Course. They are getting quite popular. Pen did one the other day, Ali did one today, and I’ve heard a rumour DCI may be in their sights. How careless we are.
I Heard another rumour that the Illis were caught by the same camera, in the same car, different drivers.
In the midst of all this, or more precisely, during my H walk, I had a phone call from the Churchill Hospital wishing to book T’s mapping scan this week.
It is now booked for Wednesday around 13.00. Or it might be 13.00. In the absence of confirmation texts? I had better téléphone them. We will miss the special families’ day at Daycare, which is a shame because I like to support them.
But I did establish that T eats all his lunch whilst there, which is useful information to pass onto the dieticians on Thursday.
This is not a peaceful week.
On Sunday, Terry had texted to say their plans had changed and they were returning home early. About 5 days early. Therefore he was hoping to travel by train, to collect the car this morning. It is still here! He has the keys so we do not need to be here unless to meet him at a nearby station.
Thought for the Day
I’m an utter idiot!
