Only a little night mail in the middle of last night and that was largely UK launched. So the night was reasonable apart from a cup of coffee at around 05.00 and some flexing.
T arose and we wandered off with the dogs down to Pangbourne where we were treated to some hilarity. Despite my best efforts, this happened…

The last ball was just too deeply out of Minnie’s reach. Bless her. She tried her best to rescue it and eventually met with success. You could see her watching the ball and straining her confidence.

But… there was a sting in the tail… or two stings …
The walk was finally knocked on the head by the mowing machine. H was too busy rolling and had not noticed it’s unstealthy approach.
What a pair! H will miss her when she goes home in a week’s time.
She has been spotted on her own little excursion to darkest Peru. Somewhere on the Salkantay Trek.

We returned home via a few essentials at the Coop and relaxed a while before going to Burcot for lunch. Well at 15.00 – maybe late lunch.
It was a good time to go and eat my dose of radiation – according to information recently received. It’s surprising how good poison can taste.
The dogs were pleased to see us upon our return.
The Peru explorers are now flying to Lima and then to Iquitos – the gateway to the Amazon. From Iquitos they will travel 140km upriver, by boat, for their jungle stay. I believe this will involve short walks and boat trips. But no trekking! And a few invertebrates of the winged variety.
There will be no midnight mail because there will be no communication with the great information highway (as a certain Mr Blair referred to it).
Our return may have involved resting our eyes.
Thought for the Day
