I was not out to lunch today …
Well… at least I was not but T was out to lunch. At Daycare.
The night passed quite nicely although the usual early part might have passed on the sofa.
I had collected a curry to keep us happy. T even ate most of his small portion. They do an extremely delicious chicken dish called hari mirchi bhuna which looks nothing special, dark greenly suspicious. It’s very dreamily creamily hot to eat, but there is no cream in it nor has it a cream coloured sauce. Just spinach amongst other things.
Anyway, moving on, to this morning, I was keenly aware that I had not visited Freddy yesterday so at 06.30, I was in my way to the Illis. Freddy ( or AN Other) had been visiting but there was plenty of food. The road works are advancing up the hill nearly as far as the Illis. And there remains the conundrum of their Golf which is likely parked in the way of whatever the Gas people want to do. I should have asked E to give me a lift up there and driven it to park it up at our place. Or better still, suggested the Illis bring it before they went away. But I think Debs is back from holiday so I expect she will let me know if there is a problem.
I flexed a bit and then spent some time cajoling T into getting up and ready for Daycare. We were only 30 minutes late.
The dogs and I wandered down to Pangbourne and exercised ourselves, two of us with the ball. Though Minnie was only marginally more interested in not losing it than yesterday. She chased it beautifully but kept abandoning it.
It was warm enough.
I had various chores to deal with mostly to do with washing machines and crockery and beds.
A chunk of the middle of the day also went missing. And only reappeared just in time for me to collect T.
From Cholsey, I took him straight to the lovely Turkish barber and he is now less fluffy up top. He will be smart enough for when Neal and Anne visit.
I have now worked out that Wendy and Burt are making more than good use of our alleyway to care for Tracey’s chickens and other excuses. This constant traffic sets the dogs off, making them more barky than usual. This has been going on a few days now.
It is irritating.
The Roberts have arrived back home again from Greece after nearly two hours of delay.
As for the Illis … Day 2 done. G obviously not feeling it. (The cold)
News from Peru poured in at 02.00. with lots of pics preceded by the first few.

If I was staying here, I would not want to have to get up at 04.00! (Apparently they have a lie in tomorrow. Until 05.00)
They are in a group of 8 with 2 other couples from Italy and US. They are in good company. F and G are leading the way! The Americans had bad altitude sickness and the man required oxygen. They were both stuffed on horses to enable them to carry on until they reached lower altitudes.
Ali says the wonderful en suite accommodation they have tonight is because the Andean Huts ( shared loo and shower) were overbooked. They drew the long straw.
The food and staff are amazing. Hence the company they are using are amazing too.

Ali also reports today has been very hard work but the Cornwall hike they did was good preparation. Tomorrow morning is about 5/6 hours trekking then they head for warm springs in the afternoon which is a muscle soak afternoon.
Thought for the Day
