This is about Friday. Posted late Saturday . By mistake.
I think I slept well apart from an early hours interruption when I had a chat with our Peruvian adventurers who were awaiting their night bus to Arequipa. They would put down an anchor there for 3 whole nights. In one place!
Everything started late today due to the soaking the sky was kindly donating to the earth. It poured and poured! The dogs looked out of the door and rejected what they saw.
I dragged T to Daycare / actually he did get up without much fuss. And was delivered. And at this point, I usually walk the dogs. But not today.
A rainy day is not the most sensible to change two beds. But it was necessary. And of course the grass still awaits. And it’s about a foot higher.
Various household chores followed but I ran out of energy. Thrilling ones like dealing with the tumble drier, and various washing machines, the Miele got an airing. The bins require my attention, and the fridge is another story.
The dogs remained undemanding. Something to do with what was going on outside I suspect.
And I managed to just about stay awake before gathering up T. I put to him an offer he could not refuse. A trip out with the dogs!
By now, it was no longer raining and was actually quite warm, but cloudy. We eyed up the Thames and chatted to swimmers and paddlers. Minnie was on chase the ball duty, which involved a lot of panting. H took on her usual support role of sitting by me. T investigated twigs on the river bank.

We visited the Illis house and checked that Freddy had been home. We did not see him though.
Then it was time to relax and do nothing .
And what of our intrepid adventurers?

Well the Roberts family minus Frankie and plus Harry have been on a special boat ride involving swimming with turtles.

And as for the Peruvian crew…
They survived their 10 hour night-coach ride and are in Arequipa for 3 nights.
It looks like a wonderful city, with colonial architecture and volcanoes, amongst other attractions.
