I didn’t sleep that well last night though I did oversleep a bit because I missed the plane to Kalamata. Luckily the Roberts were all aboard. It took off and landed on time – I did keep an eye on its progress.
Unfortunately, whilst our lunch at the Swan in Sherborne St John, tasted good, the surroundings were not as scenic as the Greek ones.
I didn’t hang around in bed and limped out with our girls to Pangbourne.
This time, as well as the dogs and poo bags, I remembered the balls and the thrower. Though I abandoned the hiking pole. I’m not an octopus, though so many limbs would have been handy.
We wandered around and the various balls were thrown repeatedly until one ended up in the river and drowned. Minnie tried her best to retrieve it, but total head submersion would have been necessary and she was not quite up for that. And I had no hiking pole to help.

I dashed home to find T still in bed. But … oh no… not for long. A prod meant he was in and out of the shower and ready for me to drive to Newbury to pick up Brenda.
We took her to Bramley and to Michael’s Carehome. And then T and I took off for lunch at a pub at Sherborne St John. It was very yummy. T cleared his plate of every fishy scrap.

Views don’t quite compare. The Swan is a pub that I used to frequent occasionally from my Basingstoke teaching days.
We picked up Brenda who had had a good visit with Michael, sometimes they are quite one-sided. And we stopped at the Base at Greenham for a coffee because nattering time in the car just was not long enough.
The Roberts family (well Pen, Dave, Evie and Harry) were unsurprisingly tired so apart from lunch, I only received a picture of reflections on an umbrella. And informed it was very nice where they were.

The Illis, in Paracas, have been on a boat ride to inspect the local wild life and some of them went swimming. They are moving to Ica tonight. Something about sand boarding is coming up.

And meanwhile, here in Moulsford … I eye up the grass and the weeds and walk two dogs. Highlight of today – getting my hair cut.
