Friday Friday

Well… it makes a change from Monday, Monday.
I had another good night , waking early doing the usual stuff and then drifting off again.
The morning air was not inviting, in fact it was distinctly chilly at 10C and rather grey. That did not deter me from hanging out the washing at 05.30.

H sneaked out and forgot to sneak back in again so found herself in the chilly air until I was looking for her to take out with us for a walk.
T was dropped at Daycare and my grand plans for a walk and a Lidl shop were set in motion but did not bear much fruit. Or as much as I intended.

Castle Meadows was the location and we met various dogs and their humans. H chose the direction in which we set off – a longer route that appeared to be methane machine free. H had a good scamper around and we reached the upper mindfulness bench where I enjoyed a long conversation of wisdom and advice. Well a long conversation. That was a good excuse to survey my surroundings and for H to investigate a squirrel up a tree.

By the time we were ready to move on, I had cancelled my immediate visit to Lidl because I needed a loo and Lidl does not have one. I briefly considered Waitrose, but that would involve paying to park the car which would be a bit frivolous. And that would mean I might as well shop there which would be pricey.

In the end, I stopped at the Oxshed for a sour dough baguette and used their loo. I couldn’t be bothered to return to Lidl so visited Cholsey Tesco Express. They were short of grapes and only had green ones. I prefer red ones. Never mind! I also stocked up on bananas and various other important items.
And made it home. To unpack it all. Lucky aren’t I ? Such an exciting time. I had hoped to start some portrait sketches but it was already nearly time to meet T. In between various admin jobs and arrangements to be made.

The day continued miserable and I gathered in that washing that had been hung out at 05.30. I glared at the hose pipe. It had been fine last week but since/ when T used it two nights ago it has developed a split. This is very annoying. It is only a few weeks old. He must have caught it in something or mistreated it. As it was, I found the spray end hooked over a sharp bit of fence.

Leaking water doesn’t matter so much in the back garden but it does for the front garden because I pass the hose through the house. This has worked well up until now and is much easier than putting it over the fence all the time. I’m glad I found the leak before passing it through the house. 😉

Nothing much else has happened. Except I have felt cold! And the coming week is forecast to be chilly.

I fell asleep as usual.

Nigel is a bit upset because his bank has asked him to move his accounts and he can’t find another bank to work with. All refuse him. This makes life a bit tricky so he is thinking about leaving the country! What a shame that would be.

There seems to be a spot of bother in France.
