- He’s been wearing my shoes all day
- Bin fiasco
The night was so so. I would just like a wake free night. After I wake, these days, I take a little time out and then I can drift off again.
I took H out early for a hop and a skip round Streatley Rec. There, I bumped into Caroline, who was also walking a dog. We had a short exchange. Mostly about the road works. Road works … hold onto that thought…
T was up when I got home which was around 07.00 – over two hours before we needed to leave. I use it to get breakfast, do the wordle, waffle and quordle challenges and sometimes Wordiply and Blossom. These offer extra challenges.
We whiled away the two hours and I eventually arrived at my Art class. I had not been particularly looking forward to it but it was actually a very enjoyable morning. Probably because we could choose what we did – and where we worked. I worked inside where I I could manage all the media and materials, keeping them under some sort of loose control.
The day had dawned miserable and chilly and grey but by 13.00 the sun had broken through and the day ended very warm. Very.
I got stuck in a ridiculous traffic jam by the Nosworthy Roundabout with traffic lights beyond the roundabout and not on a road I was going to take. Apparently, I got away with it lightly as Moulsford FB pages carry reports of much longer delays later in the day.
I relaxed for a bit and the alarm reminded me that I had a husband to collect. He was the only one left at the Daycentre.
While I was sitting around … Ali texted to say that the road through to Streatley should be open on Friday. Yippee!
I asked T to:
Bring the black bin to the front pavement. Where is it? Side alleyway. What do you mean side alleyway? The alleyway by the side of the house. He appears with the brown garden waste wheelie bin which was parked in back garden. Not that bin! Why not this bin? Because they won’t take it away tomorrow. I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous!
I couldn’t find my shoes as I departed for Cholsey to get something from Tesco Express. Probably because I discovered they were on his feet.
There seemed to be some sort of pop up fish and chip stall going on in Cholsey. Someone said a new cafe would be opening. Someone else remarked that a fish and chip van visits on a Friday. This is worth knowing since my fall-out last September with Goring chippy. Now we can also get a decent curry in Cholsey, things are looking up.
I just wish the Chinese was more inviting. It has decent reviews but rotten, dirty windows. It is situated on the first floor. Quite off putting.
Some parts of the country are on extreme heat warning for the weekend.
When I came to bed… this is what greeted me…

Thought for the Day
