Well well well, I thought the corrupt liar had moved to Henley. Perhaps we will bump into him in Lidl which is just round the corner from both of us. Or Root One garden centre which is in Britwell CS.
I reckon it’s odds on that his little boy, Wilfred, will be at Moulsford Pre Prep come September and his sister will turn up at Cranford House eventually.

The night passed comfortably enough. And I was up and out early with the dogs. By 06.30 anyway. I did not find the ball thrower so Minnie had to put up with my unpredictable short throws. She found the water again and between that and the long grass got a good soaking.
It was a beautiful morning and Castle Meadows was quite deserted.

T was still in bed when we arrived home and I had another doze to make up for the early start.
The day continued to heat up and I planted most of the remaining plants. I put the messy and still-weedy pots together out of sight. But T has reorganised them giving them pride of place. The jasmine has not lived up to its promise of having an instant hit. Internet research has revealed it has to be treated like a hedge and I would need around 10 plants to mask the fence. At £30.00 a throw, I don’t think so.
Watching them grow.

I sat around enjoying the sun for a chunk of the day. The neighbours have been restless and busy in their gardens which has made our two dogs fairly restless. Strimming on the Lee side and general clattering from B and W.
T got a sandwich for lunch and home-made veg / curry soup for supper. He actually ate both.
The kitchen tap has a new wobble and needs a ‘fixer’. My internet research reveals you need a special tool whilst you turn some bolt or other in the cupboard underneath the sink. I can just see myself doing that! Well a fixer has appeared out of nowhere – a temporary fix I think. I must give T all the credit. Great work.
I had a long FT chat with Anne this evening.
The Roberts are busy leaving no stone unturned in Barcelona. Gaudi etc we’re on today’s time table but here is a flavour of yesterday afternoon.

The station – arrival

From hotel

Posh little boat which costs £18million a year to maintain.

The ILLINGWORTH trip so far. Two days of around 50km hiking. They certainly chose the weather for it. Final day today will bring them. to Penzance with a long drive home. I think the Vikos Gorge or E4 should be their targets for next year. Once they have done most of Peru this summer. Including the Inca trail to Machu Pichu.

Day 1

Day 2

Rupert and Yoko have been busy too, at the other end of the country.

Seven Sisters
Thought for the Day
Where was the pic below taken?

I think the trek is more exciting than the culinary delights of Peru
