This post is about Wednesday. But written on Thursday. I’m losing track of the days.
Wednesday was yet another day where the bed needed better drapes and I provided them.
I did a fair bit of sleeping, dealing with congestion, taking paracetamol, avoiding coughing and trying to escape T. My chest is sore and I have a teeth thumping headache, can’t taste anything, so it’s all quite classic.
T hasn’t a clue about what is going on and is a rotten nurse. He will ask if I want anything then forgets to provide it. I’ve found various bowls of food secreted away in the kitchen with most of his food, still intact. That is a problem. Because he is not getting his DayCare meals. Early toast and fruit at least sets him up for the morning. But it is a struggle at the moment.
Dave brought us some shopping yesterday and took H out for a late walk with Minnie. Because of her current propensity to run home , she stays on a lunge lead. At least she has been out now. Yesterday’s walk was a good long one. I’m very grateful. T has lost all confidence about walking her on his own. He ‘masks’ this and says I will do it later.
I was sad to miss Art yesterday, but will probably go next week because the 5 days they ask you to stay at home will be up. I am hoping T does not get it because that will jeopardize our Somerset break.
I never saw this coming.
I was reading back through my blog to try and track when I started to feel ill and that was clear on Monday. Possibly Sunday. But for the three days before, I recorded T having an awful cough. I still have not tested him, but I am wondering if the cough was not asthma, but Covid. I have described it in lyrical language so it was obviously troublesome.
The next two Mondays are Bank Holidays here. The second for the Coronation. We will be travelling back from Somerset then.
