Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly

Musk talk for explosion .

Another and … and… and Day

I could do without any more days like this. I am fairly certain stressing about what lies ahead is responsible for sleepfreeish nights.

The day started for me at the usual sort of time… around 05.00. But I drifted off again only to leap into action with H around 9.00. I think.

I needed supplies for the mint and pea soup I was going to make for our soup lunch date. And also a leak-proof plastic container large enough to hold it. The cleaners were due at 11.30, but turned up at 10.30 which threw me a bit, as I was mid-soup. I had started the day with a seriously mega clear up of the kitchen, dealing with mega rubbish. But created more during the soup prep.

H and I wandered Streatley Rec due to me wanting to be back quickly to make the soup so the cleaners could clean the kitchen. At 11.30. Well that went all wrong didn’t it.
At the Rec, I had a chat with Alex’s Perch and Pike friend. She tells me the current managers are scheduled to leave in August, and as yet there are no new tenants on the horizon. It might have to close!!!! !!

I had had to back off making the soup, whilst the cleaners worked around us. It was soon finished and tasted … yum!

I took it as my contribution to this month’s soup lunch club. Most of the disparate people who had attended last time were not there, and, in fact, today, it was a very pleasant occasion. There were only the hosts and two others there, one of whom had been there previously. She is 84, and with mobility issues, but does not look 84. And the other attendee is awaiting knee surgery on the NHS next month. I’m quite an expert.

There were two soups on offer , mine and a potato one which all but disappeared. Any left overs have a destination.

We left around 14.00 for brief relaxation before I went to get my hair cut. And to pick up tablets from the doctor. I forgot the latter. Tomorrow I must remember them.
It has been a lovely sunny day with lots of blue sky and a bit of a chilly wind. Deceptive sort of day.
I had hoped to cut the dandelion patch, but arthritic pain kicked in big time. My knees are fine, but my right ankle is really painful as is most of the rest of me.
Well … I was warned I had more than my fair share of the osteo variety of arthritis and the chickens are coming home to roost. The last two days have not been good.

Rapid Unscheduled Dissassembly –

that’s what Elon’s team are calling it. The rocket that exploded. They seem to also be calling it a success story. On the grounds it cleared the launch pad and flew for four minutes.
I don’t much like Elon Musk though I can respect his ideas and achievements. Sometimes. He says strange things. I’m not a Twitter fan or user but he seems up to no good. And he seems to like Trump and Putin. Though maybe I’m misunderstanding him.

T has made his way through the better part of a bottle of Ribena. Neat Ribena. It’s now diluted and in a jug. Ready for him.

Thought for the Day
