Heavy Going

That’s what the day was – heavy going and of little interest.

Another up and downer of a night but sleeping was not hard between the ups.
I awoke at the usual 05.30 ish. It was another wet, grey, day. My flexing – well I forgot to stop the workout.
There was no hurry to get up until just before 11.00 when the cleaners were due. T managed to be up in good time.

We exchanged greetings, then T and I departed with H. I’ve felt tired all day so our walk was at Pangbourne, and was short. That was also because of the unpleasantly cold rain which started up not long after we left the car.

We had lunch at the Perch and Pike. They do one of the best ploughman’s I know of. T had a huge pot of mussels and chips. It was excellent and ensured a good sleep when we arrived home. Sadly, the people who run this pub will be leaving some time in the next few months. It is a shame because the food is good and is not overpriced.

Misery!

After my sleep, I did very little apart from feed H and try and avoid T who was in restless mode. Luckily, the target of his attention was his wardrobe. And not the fridge or kitchen for once.

Most of the country seems to be covered in the white stuff. None here.

Thought for the Day
