Valentine’s Day

I saw lots of cards made for me. Well I thought they were ALL for me, or the girls, but I’ve only seen them on Facebook. Probably for a secret lover. Apart from Pen’s for both of us.

Looks like a painful experience- making that

Usual sort of night- very dozy during the evening except for when I watched Panorama. About the Earthquakes.
Erdogan and his cohort of local sycophants have some explaining to do as to why they approved constructors and constructions that were waived through, with a rubber stamp of approval, and, which, at the same time stated they did not meet the criteria as earthquake proof. Common practice apparently.
Sounds like an action for mass murder should be on the cards. Turkey is due to hold local elections in May. Don’t hold your breath. Those affected are also wondering what happened to the earthquake taxation they paid.

These rules were put in place after the 1999 earthquake. That one only killed about 17,000. You would think a lesson had been learned.

Moving on… the girls and I were out a bit earlier than usual and we did not have long out there. But I attempted to run the legs off Minnie by throwing the ball, so that T would get peace whilst I was out at Art.
Despite starting early, or so thought, I still managed to arrive at Art with only a few minutes to spare, not lots of minutes.
It was very foggy for the walk and the drive.

We used water colours today which can be a bit unforgiving. We were supposed to be painting mountains and a lake and a village but a shipwreck sneaked into mine.
It was sunny for the drive home. I tried to stop at Tesco express in Cholsey for a few essentials, but the presence of a huge delivery lorry and lack of parking put me off. This Tesco has no parking unless you count the on street variety which consists of gaps between the double yellow lines.

Our local filling station supplied me with my requirements.
T was in bed when I arrived home, along with two dogs which was a relief.
I made him a delicious sandwich and left him to continue his 20 hour doze.
And then I started to watch Better which has the makings of a good little series. It’s set in Leeds and mentions various places which evoke my childhood. Garforth for one – which takes me to 114 Lidgett Lane. On another day.
I received an email from the Hub in Goring which is exploring setting up a local group for Dementia Carers. If it’s anything like the Newbury group, which we established ourselves, it could be useful for me.

I shall enrol for a different Art Course after Easter. On a Wednesday, which fits around T’s Daycare and this will free up Tuesdays. It also looks less prescriptive and more adventurous. It is also more local. So I won’t have to trail to Abingdon.
