This is Sunday’s blog – didn’t post…

A decent night’s sleep. No hurry to get up as I contemplated the day when I awoke soon after 05.00. H did not move and did not appear to be in a hurry either. It was not raining but it was much cooler. 3C.

How can a dog sit with her bottom on the floor and still wag her tail like mad?

I eventually ventured into the shower and discovered no shower gel. It goes the same way as the washing up liquid.
However … my new cunning plan cannot fail. I have ordered block shower gel. (Possibly AKA a bar of soap.) It was discussed on the radio the other day as an economy that can be made. These bars are often shampoo and soap combined. Much like the olive oil soap bars I used to use.

The day became bright and sunny…

H and I went to the watery meadows in Wallingford which were very very watery. I thought things were bad a week ago… but compared with today… the river has burst its banks; the boats are riding high; new lakes have been created, to the delight of water fowl; the car park by Wallingford Bridge is under water; in Goring, water is lapping the Swan. I should investigate the B and W tomorrow.

I had prepped some veg before going out with H. And I oven roasted them with some potatoes to make a delicious lunch. And then there was left over crumble.

We watched a film together – set in France and starring Russell Crowe. T managed to hang in there! I did too but then I fell asleep. And woke up soon after in time to watch favourites – Call the Midwife and Happy Valley with the wonderful Sarah Lancashire. What happened to Last Tango in Halifax? ( the actors got to be too old)
