Yet another disturbed night. I have discovered I am less disturbed if I sleep on my tum. It used to be my preferred way of sleeping until I had those knee operations which made it far too uncomfortable. But I have recently tried to revive the habit which is not hard, these days.
So it was a late second awakening. A no commitments day so I made the most of no urgency needed. T hasn’t got up all day. The skies were pleasantly clear after the mists and murk which have veiled everything recently.
I’m pleased to report that the UFH is at last definitely working, though the lovely solid concrete floors are resistant to warming up. But the kitchen has got itself there… more or less.
I eventually walked H as daylight was fading, at Castle Meadows. I had forgotten my phone, which was a shame because the skies cast an interesting light. And then my watch went flat. Utterly flat. Doh! It’s not as if I was not warned. I was incommunicado.
there was a very interesting programme on TV this morning. A forensic science programme, called Expert Witness. Today’s contained a lot of information about blood patterns and how these can inform about crimes.
We are getting deliveries which T keeps piling up in his study. I just got rid of one load of cardboard boxes into the recycling bin, to find a new lot arrived in my absence: His Christmas 00beer supplies I think.
Next door now have their external decorations up as do many other houses around and about. Moulsford is beginning to look quite twinkly. Last year I noticed that the dominant lighting on local walls, bushes and trees was a sort of bronze effect. Very coordinated here. Along the main road through the. Image that is. As for Underhill – it’s a bit more random here. More fun. Less elegant!
My task for tonight is sorting the tree lights that T took off last year. I keep putting it off as it will take ages!
Update: I have given up on this task and ordered a new tree. (After a couple of hours of rising irritation and murderous thoughts.) Anyone who wishes to have a go at the job, gets the old tree!
Thought for the Day
