Dozy Sunday

A decent night’s sleep following the usual routine of an early wakening with brekkie and another doze.

In fact, outside was beyond disgusting. Grey, damp, cold, just about describes it.

There was no deadline to cause me to get up so I did not, T was in a world of his own so I ignored him.

Eventually, H and I took a drive to Hampstead Norreys and walked along the old railway line for a while. This is a good place to go because it is not muddy, and there are also various diversions that can be taken into different environmental landscapes : woodland, fields, grassy Rec and various other tracks.
There were a collection of interesting people out and about with interesting dogs. One was a pug-like Bull dog who had been a naughty boy and had shared his seed with a dachshund, without permission. The result was an absolutely cute 16 month old puppy!

I returned to dish up soup from the other day with a few additional ingredients to disguise it. I’m not sure T enjoys soup as he always says no, when offered it, and he did not eat it all! But it was packed full of delicious veg- he leaves me puzzled!

Dave appeared during the afternoon and brought some seasonal items down from the loft, including the Christmas tree which T dismantled last year, removing all the carefully placed integral lights. I just know it will take hours to rewind them round the branches.

Our neighbours seem to be a bit late, this year, loading up their glitzy and wonderful decorations. But others have made up for it round the corner.

My heart sinks at the thought of shopping I must do and, even worse, wrapping up! I need to remember people like our cleaners and people at the Day Centre.

So, we inevitably ended up watching England bear Senegal. Only a few heart stopping moments for a change.
And that was it for the day. Snow is promised later in the week for oop north. We just get sun without any heat. Very chilly is our forecast.

Thought for the Day
