Jabbed

It was not raining when I woke up. Just for a change! But it was cloudy. And grey.
I awoke quite early but had slept nicely. Things are definitely looking up!

I fed T his drink and brekkie and issued the day’s warning about being up on time. In time for our flu/ Covid jabs later in the morning at Woodcote.

I dossed around. I flexed a bit, then I went through all the usual stress of getting T up. Good cooperation today as he was ready to go out by 10.30.
We had to travel to Woodcote for our flu jabs. The doctor was lovely and I benefited from being leaned on by him. Something to do with anticoagulants I am now taking.

We had received a request from Ali to walk Minnie. It is DCI’s birthday today and he was spending it driving L and T to Nottingham and then was due to meet his parents for lunch.
Ali was hockeying, shopping for their evening soirée and house cleaning after L and T’s departure.
So, we collected Minnie and took her to Long Wittenham where we repeated yesterday’s walk but with T and an extra dog.

Minnie met up with a young springer and they amused each other for about 10 mins at high speed, whilst we chatted to her owners and H just looked on. Bemused. Otherwise it was almost sunny on the walk, which was very pleasant.
We returned Minnie home, where I was confused by F’s presence, as I had been warned she would be out with Ali. Ali was out. F was in.

We returned home where T ate a sandwich and then returned to bed, and I fell asleep. Fast asleep. Only to be awoken an hour or two later by a text telling me Pen and the girls would soon be arriving. It was lovely to see them all. It has been a while. We had a cup of tea and a chat catching up on the latest news.

T also went to sleep after the sandwich and missed Pen’s visit completely. He eventually re emerged in the early evening. And hung around for the rest of it, enjoying Strictly, and Michael Macintyre’s the Wheel.

Eventually he gave in and went to bed. I sat up late! It’s nearly 23.30.
My Covid jab went in my right arm which is sore. Otherwise no complaints. Flu into the left arm.

Thoughts for the Day
