I was awake at some silly o’clock so brought my brekkie forward to 05.00. I knew it would send me to sleep again and I was not wrong, waking up again just before 08.00.
It was grey and very wet outside. H did not want to go out, neither did I, neither did T. So that settled it. More or less.
I had a few potential errands to carry out. But the rain was not very motivating.
Eventually all 3 of us launched ourselves into the miserable conditions. I had chosen Cholsey Rec as the least muddy option. The sun was doing its best to prevail but a large bank of dark grey clouds was a bit of an obstacle.
It was not a long walk but H made the most of it.
Next up was Waitrose, where I purchased a World Cup sticker book and extra stickers for Timur as a birthday / farewell present. He will turn 7 in his new home in early December. I also bought other survival items whilst I was in there.
Ali required me to explore other purchases at Savages / garden/ farm shop in Blewbury. In fact she had managed to find them herself, but we still went to Blewbury to the Style Acre Cafe.
This is a cafe where they train young adults with a hidden disability for jobs in hospitality. They learn jobs such as how to make and serve coffee, waiting at tables, customer interaction, how to use the till, how to make and decorate cakes, cook breakfast, wash dishes etc etc. A good project.
We returned home at which point I felt absolutely shattered. But did not sleep. I did a lot of that yesterday. And so utterly nothing had seized the day.
