Not a wonderfully interesting day.
Not a wonderful night either, but OK with the electric blanket to keep me warm.
We had tea and toast around 06.00 and may have drifted off again.
Without paying sensible attention, I invited a courrier into the house, thinking he was the electrician. He must have felt rather special- I don’t think he will get many such invites. In fact he was delivering a rather special delivery from Penny and co, including a GH magazine- so indulgent! Some tasty goodies and a Cook voucher. Yippee! More Cook meals.
The electrician arrived shortly afterwards and replaced the faulty dimmer switches and also pointed out that about 6 lightbulbs had died. He replaced 4 from stock he had, but 4 was all he had.
No more need of the head torch to help me cook. It might be cheaper though…
Think of the Penguins! Was our Y6 mantra. Work that one out!
I needed to get H out so we did a quick spin around part of Castle Meadows. That was late morning and T was still in bed. He was still in bed when we returned home. He hadn’t even managed to grab yet another Amazon delivery. (The new heated fleece throw.)
The walk was rather murky and chilly though the temperature belied it. ie readings said it was 15C, but I reckon it was telling porky pies. It was also grey.

Back home again and I scrambled some eggs and stuffed them Into T.
Just as I was about to leave for the hairdresser, Amber (dementia adviser) rang. We had a brief chat / update about T’s condition. Also discussed was whether we needed additional help, possible sources of respite, and she sent some helpful links.
Ashley did a good job on my hair which has been tamed. T will be next. Of course, Goring Grocer is not the same as it was, but I just had to pop in and bought one or two treats. Don’t get excited – tomato and basil soup is but an example. Granola – home made; Tunworth.
Relaxation and a cuppa followed then feeding husband and doggy. Time to relax under the heated throw. Penguins safely rule!
