Lights!

A thoroughly messy night thanks to a black, dead and extinct iPhone. That caused me to linger in a wakeful state until I eventually solved the problem via my old iphone7 and the internet.

The holiday unpacking is progressing slowly.

I arose, to trek down to the docs with my discharge paperwork, and to pick up some medication. And to walk H. Crocs are really not the footwear to be wearing out and about at the moment. They don’t have great grip in slime and mud.

Castle Meadows has been shaved since we were last there and it is also very green. And quite beautiful. H did not hang around much. It’s nice to be walking her again – today, the weather was much more acceptable than yesterday, at the time I was out. But it didn’t last long and it swiftly deteriorated.

Home soon, and time for some of Ali’s yummy soup which went down very nicely. The small amount T did not eat is now inside H.

I’ve finished the supplies of heparin thank goodness, so no more needles. However the monster antibiotic and other tabs go on.

At last, the electrician popped by this afternoon. It’s only taken over a year to get the kitchen lights investigated. Doh! What an idiot! The extractor fan and hob light were only switched off. The switch lives in my high pan cupboard where pans tend to get shoved or thrown. I had obviously managed to switch the thing off. I’ve only been without it over a year!

As for the overhead lights in a 4 way dimmer wall switch, a new switch is required because two of the little knobs have been knackered by over pushing, pressing too hard. Can’t think who might be responsible. Have to wait for a new switch panel.

The heating – we know what the problem is – it happened before two years ago when the kitchen was being fitted, and Clive, the fitter sorted it for us. DCI could have too if a little special tool had not gone awol. He visited to investigate.

We are promised unseasonably warm temperatures over the next few days so we will survive.

Shopping on the internet has led me to purchase T a heated gilet fleece, and a heated throw in an attempt to conserve energy. There is another more ancient heated throw somewhere. Loft probably. I might try and find it,

Evening arrived and we ate something I cooked, for the first time in months. Even T ate it – salmon.
