T eventually got up this morning and we finally made it to brekkie just before 11.00.
He was a bit of a nightmare, fiddling around, looking for a towel, looking for some clothes to wear. Sitting down and then starting the process all over again. Even after I had given them all to him.
We will make our own brekkie in future as I now have supplies, which I bought later in the day.
H had an early leadwalk through the olive groves which allowed her to do what she needed to.
It was not a good night for me, despite the super comfy bed and atmosphere. Up and down like a yo yo. That will teach me to eat a large salad and drink a litre of water before bedtime.
It was windy this morning which became more apparent when we revisited Aspro Limni. Well we tried to, only I missed the narrow track.
And we ended up at Voulimni. Also very nice. Also a lagoon. But surrounded by rocks so no easy entry points into the water.
It was windy on our little beach and we should really have headed to the more sheltered areas. Where the sensible folk were.

More people were swimming today. I certainly enjoyed my swim. Unlike yesterday, T got bored and fidgety after an hour or two, so we left. But not until he had done his best to wreck the habitat we were asked to protect. On a very large notice board.
Whilst he practises his ignorance, I am left embarrassed. I hate his harvesting of wild flowers, destruction of bushes etc etc.

I didn’t encourage H into the water because of the wavelets.
On the way back, we made another mistake of stopping at a mini market. The wrong one. The worst one ever. The fruit and veg were to die for in the literal sense, if you were silly enough to waste your money on the shrivelled, ancient mushy relics on offer.
Promoting mouldy produce is not a great PR move in my view. But then this is Elafonissi, home of tackiness, to idiots who go there in search of long trampled pink sand. Who go in their hire cars and tourist buses. Even now.
But I have a cunning plan. If we go down there, bearing in mind dogs are not welcome, we will go on one of the coming days, when rain is forecast. That will have reduced the numbers. Friday onwards.
Of course, we are but a stone’s throw from Grammeno so the forecast is all but the same and I can more or less rely on it. Except here we have a more westerly aspect.

We grabbed our evening meal at the restaurant which does a good job but we were warned they are about to run out of 00beer and it did not sound as if they are going to restock. Thought is required. And some self catering. And I only have a few cans left.
A rainy day in Falassarna may be a good idea. The shops may be bigger there. Or Kissamos.
Thought for the Day
Photogenic – our PM – her many faces- none are nice.
