Conclusion

Psychopathic chilling image – its in the eyes

Another bloody awful night. So the decision was made for me… move on, check out Monday so we can use facilities and still see familiar faces,  stay close by, do clothes washing, pack stuff we travel with,  then domestic stuff and bugger off to explore elsewhere.

It was a decision not easily reached and with a lot of regret.  Extreme regret and sadness. Especially when T remarked that he will miss our cabin.  So will I, but probably for the wrong reasons. I feel guilty now that T was happy to stay on. We have probably spent several months in that cabin if you add it all up over the years.

But pastures new beckon. And I will miss people – Chris particularly for all the help, support and time he has given us over the  years. Thank you.

Terry came and had a little chat talking through what I was planning which was helpful.

So now I am in a room with a bed that offers lift off and is but a step away from a shower and LOO! The walls are whiter than white and there is no sand. That is a bit scary really.

Azurri

And I will miss the morning walks so very much, but not the disturbed nights that preceded them. How I will miss those dogs and Luis and his flashing light.

H will have to cross her legs for a little longer each morning as I will be out on Azurri beach, long after sensible companionship has probably left.

We settled into our accommodation, failing to snooze, so we wandered into Palaiochora for an orange juice and beer and for a view to admire.

We joined E,C and T for a meal at the camping bar/ restaurant, where we were more or less the only customers. It will close in around 3 days time. And then we tottered back through the camping, to the car, and the bed etc.

There is a slightly strange atmosphere here at Megim, and effusive welcome does not quite describe it. There seems to be an absence of people – guests and staff. But the room is very clean and compact and comfortable. And quite cheap.

But we are puzzled by a puddle which has soaked the bath mat. The source of the wet is a mystery but it interferes with my direct line to the loo, ensuring my feet stay damp and clean. In endeavouring to work it all out, the bath mat is in the shower tray, wet – it is an anti slip item. space is at a premium in the shower area.

My detective instincts indicate the leak is from the shower drain area.

Thought for the Day

Farewell Grammeno. I love you and all you have given me over the last 7 years. Best thing ever … is below

H and I will be back one day …
