I slept very nicely until it was time to prise open my eyes to emerging daylight and a flex followed by a hot drink. That was all very nice. Only I fell asleep again, to wake up at around 09.00. Glory be!
I then made a mess of both Wordle (unusual) and Quordle (not unusual).
There was nothing to get up for today , so I took my time. H and T were snoring on. And on. And on a bit more.
I had a few chores to do in and around the estate and the house. They took a while, but it also took T a while to get up.
We walked on the south side of the Thames in the middle of Wallingford. The ’beach’ area was busy, with paddlers and paddlers on boards, kayakers, swimmers, boat hirers, and a strange inflatable that looked very uncomfortable.
By now, the day was sunny and warm. 25C.

Our walk was short and a circular one. H trotted and sniffed. She was particularly interested in the bags and possessions of those enjoying the river banks. One bag man explained his bag only contained sweetcorn and bread. Probably why H did not linger there!
She is such a good girl nowadays, when it comes to ignoring cows. There were plenty of them. But then, they did see us coming, and promptly wandered to the other side of the field.
We took a meal at the Waterfront at Benson. I thought I had chosen a well sited table under the open verandah roof. However we soon found ourselves in full sun, which meant we were hot! Quite a lot hot.

It was well after 16.30 when we arrived home. Time for some relaxation. Quite a lot of that too!
And then it was really time for bed!
