After yesterday’s grumps, T woke up relatively alert and in a reasonable mood. A bit like me really. He even dug himself out of his pit and into the shower without too much nagging . Ahead of me!
Although I’m not quite sure why he chose swim shorts to wear for his day out at his special Social Club. They were reminiscent of a frilly skirt.
My night was slightly patchy but I had fallen deeply asleep during the previous afternoon . Having felt pretty shattered the two previous days, today was much more normal.
T seemed quite happy to be back at social club. After leaving him there, H and I wandered round the perimeter of Cholsey Rec, taking in the woodlands and the brook.
It was sunny and warm but not too hot. People were out and about doing their thing. Dogs as well. And some little boys and one small female playing at playing football as part of a holiday camp.

I dropped H off at home and drove to Alis to complete a financial transaction where we were the lucky recipients. Repayment.
Then it was off to Hermitage to meet up with Val and Brenda for an early lunch. All very nice, hadn’t seen Brenda for a while, as she had bern looking after her sister. I regaled them with T’s attempt to take the dagger away with him, which made them laugh for some worrying reason.
I had to withdraw from the trio to pick T up – he seemed to have had some sort of fun. We returned home to find H pleased to see us and to water the plants. It seems Thames Water may not be ready to introduce a hose pipe ban.
Just yet.
I gathered up all the ancient vegetables in the fridge that had survived our week away and turned them into something tasty of a veg stew variety. The stew bit disguised their age. I might need to curry the left overs.
Thought for the Day
Who would, or why would anyone want to spend time here?
I expect it’s nice in winter.
