I slept well until the usual wake up around 05.00. I don’t set an alarm because I seem to have an utterly reliable internal job that sees me wake up around that time.
But, if something is really important that requires my presence at an early hour, various alarms and timers are armed with their instructions.
Anyway… it was Art day, two weeks since I last attended due to Helen having Covid. We are using acrylics but week 3 has become week 1.
No nagging T to get up, just myself to organise. And that was bad enough!
I threw clothes on, and H and I visited the river at Streatley. It was about 20C, so, warm for 07.00. There were not many people about, but, not many is more people than usual. These not many included Caroline and her husband and dog.

You can see the light is unusual for an early, sunless morning.
I asked H if she would like a swim, its too deep to paddle there, but she made her feelings quite clear by keeping clear of me. And clear of my foot, the one that might shove her in the water.
Having returned home, I had about an hour to do chores etc before departing. I had already refuelled and bought croissants at the local, excellent small filling station. Best croissants, baked somewhere within their dilapidated premises. Thank you Morrisons.
The day was warming up somewhat oppressively. Clouds obliterated any lofty sign of blue. A few plants were lucky enough to receive attention from the hose.
I was soon on my way to Abingdon – H was in charge of T and neither showed any sign of being alert. Hopefully that would continue for the next 4 hours +.
Today we revisited acrylics, and, using palette knives, we paid a brief visit to a missed lesson. Rainbow Mountain in Peru. Then we worked on an abstract painting based on the work of Australian aboriginal artist Sally Gabori. She did not start painting until she was in her 80s. Still time for me. My efforts need finishing.
I have some ideas based on her style.
Maybe I will reveal all later.
I was absolutely knocked out when I arrived home. It had tried to rain, which was only evident from spots on the windscreen. More rain was forecast but it failed to materialise. And the temperature remained around 30C. Not as painfully uncomfortable as yesterday which was ghastly. T was still in bed.
After some relaxation, I set up my art studio and worked on the paintings that I had started in the morning. Not finished still, but more so than earlier. And I was at it for about 3 more hours.
T got up and did a few not very useful things eg wound up the hose, which should have been directed at the plants after my cursory efforts this morning. He also did some washing up with his half bottle of washing up liquid whilst spraying the kitchen floor.
I have an additional art session tomorrow to make up for the ones lost to Covid.
