I did not sleep well, until it was time to get up, that is! Busy brain and all that.
My oversleep put paid to my swimming intention. Life is a bit of a mess at the moment.
The early part of the day was ghastly – a grey/ yellow color. And it was not long before the rain started – it was relentless. All day. The roads are very flooded. The rain was not particularly heavy, it was just constant.
I finally took H out at Lower Basildon after 3.00pm. I expected to be the only dog walker there but there were a few others. We didn’t make it down to the Thames, the reasons are clear in the photo. But at least H had a run around and seemed quite happy to get soaking wet.

However I had a nice pedicure this morning and my feet feel soothed. Thank you Debs.
But she was the harbinger of bad news – that there will be total closure of the road from Wallingford to Pangbourne for a week at October half term. I don’t understand how the utilities can be allowed to treat residents with such disdain .
It’s been a day of not much going on. All garden furniture that can be stowed, is stowed. The final straw was the wind blowing the cover off a recliner chair so only the table remains outside, but with a protective cover.
I’m a bit anxious about tomorrow.
Thought for the Day
Not really got one part from fingers crossed and too much to do. Just want the day over with.
