Yes autumnal colours and sunshine but without the showers of yesterday.
I felt stiff and achey when I awoke , the reason being nuclear. Or even less likely, unclear.
So I did not rush to arise. There is a big improvement since last week in how I feel. It was last Friday I cancelled my trip to Devon, to do with stent discomfort and loo trips and difficult nights. I was right to do so. All that is so much better. (Not completely- merely so much) So it has taken two weeks to get used to the stent which is what internet sources suggest. And it took about a week to get over the GA. I have no qualms about going to Devon for a couple of nights on Monday.
Shame I have to go through it all again, quite soon. No date yet.
H and I went for our walk at Castle Meadows because I wanted to pick up one or two things at Waitrose. The meadows were warm and welcoming and the cows were in the lower water meadows, so we had a fine time. Especially since I had been reading about how to avoid being killed by grazing cows. This was written by someone who thought her number was up. As did her husband.
My Waitrose trip was not practical due to the car park being heaving with cars and the warmth of the sun. The only parking spaces were in full sun, some way from the shop, and I was not willing to cook Heidi. So we headed for Vicars where I could shop quickly and the car was parked under trees. They had some amazingly fresh local broccoli and runner beans amongst other delights.
And we were soon home cooking the items mentioned, with some cod loin off the fish counter. I may have sneaked in a short snooze.
Pen and Dave are visiting Mike (he’s just turned 50) and family on the Isle of Man. Ali is on a girlie weekend in Bournemouth and Dave is sorting out F and G with a little taxiiing from me. F starts her driving lessons very soon and the family are looking forward to the time when there will be a third driver. And all the expense that that will involve.
I got to the end of Netflix’s ‘Into the Fire’ based on a true life investigation into a missing adopted daughter about forty years ago. Her missingness was never properly investigated at the time. Quite a harrowing tale.
