Lazy version 2

Yes, it’s been another lazy day, taking things easy. But tomorrow will be much busier.

I did not have a great night, continuing issues with general discomfort. But I caught up on sleep as morning dawned, which was another dull and uninviting one.

I got myself up and going and then got H up and going. we headed for Pangbourne because it had public loos and benches. We did not need the public loos ( yippee) but did need a bench or two. Yesterday I felt a bit wobbly out and about but today was much better.

The yellow cat boat has moved on since we were last there a week or two ago. The playground was busy, but the meadows were largely divested of children who must be mainly back at school.

I was quite hungry when we got home, having omitted to eat brekkie. But there were jobs to do. The main one was tidying up some plants that are in their death throes. This involved stripping back back my decaying runner bean plants which have had their day. They cropped quite well but I have worked out how to make them achieve better, next year.

And I found a cucumber lurking and ready for eating.

So I did the chores and then prepped up another veg shepherd’s pie using yesterday’s left overs. I did make fresh mashed potato though. It tasted good. And after I needed a bit of a rest.

I did not do much else with the rest of the day. I’m not really sure where it went.

I had phone calls from Pen and Ali and the list of activities for tomorrow now includes taking G to get his hair cut in Cholsey. Just in time for school. His GCSE year.

I wonder if he would like to chase the mower over my grass after his haircut? I’m not supposed to do anything that involves strain.

Fleur starts sixth form, Frankie is having a weekend away somewhere posh on Dartmoor and Evie? Not sure.
