I think it has been another grey day. I have been inside doing my art course (trees) for most of the day so it is possible the sun might have popped out.
I was up with H quite early and we whisked round Streatley Rec at slow speed before I took her up to the Illis. She was having a playdate with Minnie while I painted.
There was a dampness in the air whilst we were at the Rec and it had clearly rained overnight.

I had to wake the Illis up at 08.50. It’s exam time so F is hard at work revising for GCSE, and G has just done mocks in preparation for his exams next year. And it seems the parents are knackered too. I was locked out until Dave arrived to let me in. I only saw the adults.
After a good cup of coffee , I was off to Ipsden for my water colour class. The last class was on rivers which was fairly disastrous because, collectively, we were hopeless! Trees, today, was much better. But watercolor is not my natural bedfellow.
studies then the composition.

They are a very pleasant group to be with. A French lady joined us as a newcomer and she was made to feel very welcome. I much prefer this group and this teaching to the Coaching Barm clique from last summer. Nothing would persuade me to rejoin that. Even if it had not stopped.
I still have bluebells and poppies to look forward to and more classes in different media during Goring Gap Festival week in June.
I gathered up H up, I was only away a few hours, but I got the usual potty welcome – ignoring poor old Fleur who was doing a timed practice GCSE psychology paper.
Mussels for supper which I cooked up with some new potatoes and beans and peas in the pot. Yummy. The mussels were big and fat.
